What is Gothic?
Gothic (Moreno-Garcia, St. James, Setterfield) makes the estate, the archive, or the family line load-bearing. Dread accumulates through occupancy of a wrong building and a past that will not stay buried. The confrontation happens in the gothic space itself.
How Bespoke Books implements it
In The Composer, Gothic is a top-level Genre card and a Writing Style on the Story tab (voice_id: gothic). It no longer borrows the literary psychological thriller voice.
