What is Women's Fiction?
Book-club contemporary (Reid, Picoult, Garmus) puts women’s lives, friendships, and public/private identity at the center. The ending must be emotionally true. It does not owe a couple’s happily-ever-after the way Romance does — though a relationship may still matter.
How Bespoke Books implements it
In The Composer, Women's fiction is a top-level Genre card and a Writing Style on the Story tab (voice_id: womens_fiction). It is not a Romance subgenre: heat and HEA are not the contract. It is not Literary Psychological Thriller: there is no required twist architecture.
